This is my 3rd week in a row of meal planning, and I’m loving every second of it! Even my husband is enjoying it — he knows he can look at the meal plan on the fridge and see exactly what we’re having that night. It saves a lot of listening to the question, “What’s for dinner tonight?” over and over again. It also has made things so easy, and now we’re even talking about getting out and getting some stuff to make whole meals (cutting veggies, etc) and putting them in freezer bags, and then on certain days just taking them out, popping the stuff in the slow cooker and having dinner DONE! He’s also done well with keeping up with our ongoing grocery list — and it really helps having everything written down throughout the week for when it’s time to go to the grocery store. If you haven’t tried this yet, you REALLY should!
Monday: Steak-Umm/sauteed onion/cheese sandwiches.
Tuesday: Baked Macaroni and Cheese w/ mixed veggies, & breadcrumb topping.
Wednesday: Baked Chicken Thighs w/ veggies.
Thursday: Elbow macaroni w/marinara sauce.
Friday: Steak and veggies.
Saturday: Chicken -OR- Takeout
Sunday: Homemade soup (?)
We’re running kinda low on groceries this week, so we may need a trip to the store. If we don’t, I think I have it covered, with a little creativity. 😉
